Colour Q: 336

Hello and happy Monday to you all!

When I saw this gorgeous inspiration photo and color scheme from Colour Q #336, I knew I had to join in her fun. I'm a sucker for high contrast color schemes and this fit the bill:
 Just lovely isn't it?

I started with a sheet from PTI's Color Pop Florals kid and sponges (using the included stencil) Distress Ink Carved Pumpkin, PTI Raspberry Fizz and Limeade Ice. Then using the detailed stamps from the kit, I went and stamped them. For the florals surrounding the sentiment, I die cut using coordinating dies, sponges them and stamped the interiors for contrast. I also cut out "Celebrate Today" (also from by the kit) and ombre sponged it in orange. Then, on the small banner from Mama Elephant I stamped "dear friend". I also cut out a stitched oval from black cardstock and created my focal point on it. Then I impressed stitching to the bottom and adhered it to the top portion of a white card base, to which I then also adhered a strip of black and white striped patterned paper for contrast and interest! I literally added Wink of Stella on the florals...and I'm done!

Thanks for stopping by!
